what do I need ?

wanting to run audio through my older 4.1 pro media klipsch pc speakers for my direct tv reciever, xbox 360, and dvd player. Want to use optical cables. Is there some sound card or device that creative or somebody makes where I can run all three through my pc. I want the surrond sound for these devices and my new monitor 24" LG L246WP-BN does not have speakers anyway. Running video to these devices, along with my pc, on 4x1 hmdi switch to my new monitor.

No, get a receiver. I suppose, in theory, you could find computer hardware for all that but you are talking about more money and effort than it would be worth. Get a receiver, run everything through that.
