I tried to OC and I screwed something up.
Proc: Athlon 3500+
Mobo: Asus A7NX8-E Deluxe
Ram: 1 gig pc3200 samsung

I tried raising my FSB, but I did it all wrong. I got it to run well at 180. I then tried at 190, I got a BSOD. So I set it back to the default. Now I can only boot up in safe mode. I check the ram, it was fine. How do I know what I ruined? I don't know where to look or what to run. Please help.

Actually you corrupted the registry. Not a big deal. I have done it overclocking my P4.

Just reload windows. You might want to start with memtest86 and try using that tool for overclock testing and memory limits.

Cheers.

Thank you for your response.

I will reload windows as soon as I get home. I did a system restore from a week ago that did nothing. I ran memtest (not 86) for a couple of hours and it came up clean. I'll try again with memtest86.

I found the whole process exciting. Though I wish I knew what all the lines in BIOS meant and how they relate to the other lines.

You also need to make sure that your AGP speed is set to "auto" or "66Mhz" in the bios so your AGP and PCI busses stay at spec.
Most HD's don't like having the PCI buss pushed faster !
