A little while ago I took my computer out to the garage to blow out all the dust. Then I unhooked most of the wires and cables inside and re-routed them. (they were a tangled mess) Now when windows XP takes about 10 minutes to boot. Once it finally finishes everything seems to work fine. What did I do??

During the time nothing was happening, the hard drive could have gone back or a few sectors went bad.
Usually when I see a computer with rediculous boot times, I format the hard drive and it works fine after that.
If it still boots slow after loading windows and a few programs onto a fresh format, you may want to try to RMA the drive since there might be something wrong (if it's still under warranty).

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. Or, did you happen to to hit any jumpers on the mobo? Perhaps the RAM isn't seated properly? I would just double check everything under the hood. If that doesn't prevail, then reformat.
