Someone in one of my classes at school has offered me a Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro for 100 bucks. I was thinking of getting the X-FI XtremeMusic edition for 130ish bucks at my Best Buy. What one should I go with? Im thinking the X-FI for 30 more bucks.
 
IYHO--> is the Xfi Extreme music any different (in performance) then the platinum/fatality?
 
seriously.. just go with the xfi for 30 more!! theres not really a choice to make.. IMO

there shouldn't be any different between the lower 3 models of the x-fi. its only the highest model that uses higher quality dac.
 
Quick Breakdown:
Music = No i/o drive, 2 meg of mem, can be upgraded later to use breakout box
Plat = I/o Drive, 2 meg, can still do upgrade later
FPS = i/o drive, 64 meg, can still use BO box later on
Pro = Breakout Box, 64 meg, this one uses higher qual parts thus the $400 pricetag
