ok the most obvious is in cs source and battlefield 2..... the screen either freezes for a few seconds or just does it instantly but in cs source my fps drops to half.... and in bf i lose around 10-15fps.... my 6800gt temperature is around 50*C on load... it happens with all drivers.... its been happening ever since i got my athlon 64 + neo2 platinum..... also i have 2gb ram and 512mb aperture and fastwrites are off.... currently using 80.40s by xtremeg and newest nforce betas with 4.40 gart driver.... does it need more agp voltage..... do i need to format.... what is going on?

EDIT: my PSU is a 465W enermax it does 35/35/33A @ 3.3/5/12 and voltages look good

Throttling is caused my temps, are you sure that it's throttling?
Aperture does nothing, however fastwrites should be enabled, have you tried that?
 
fastwrites should be disabled for stability only if it gets you a better oc tho
 
temps are around 50*C for GPU and 40-50*C for CPU on load..... if i enable fastwrites it happens even more often... what else could be causing a game to slow down to half fps?

motherboard, try a re-format and if you still have trouble than it's obviously a configuration or hardware problem.
 
agp voltage does nothing for agp cards, it should be called agp bus voltage to be more clear

Fastwrites disabled = more stability, less performance
Fastwrites enabled = less stability, more performance

Pick and choose :p
 
it also happens in x64 so if i reformat xp pro its still gona be there.. and i kno agp voltage in bus voltage not card voltage..... ive been working to fix this for 7 months now.... no improvement
 
maybe your cards defective? or your motherboard, hard one to figure out
 
my 6800GT works fine on my old athlon xp system and my friends a64 system with a VIA chipset..... his 6600GT works fine in my nforce 3 system..... not the card nor the mobo....
