My new system I just built and installed windows on keeps on locking at the DMI pool data verification... it even gets as far as saying successful but then just sits there doing nothing....

If I'm thinking right usually what happens next is it boots off of whatever device has the boot record... I have floopy first and then hard drive but no love... I'm not for sure why it is doing this.. I did just install the new drivers for the hardware.. any ideas out there...

Could have just been a bad install I guess... I just reinstalled and took my time installing all the drivers.... I didn't install the corresponding software yet just drivers and seems to have done the trick so far... maybe I'll run some burn in sandra on it and see how it does over the next few days... If it works I'll keep the board as opposed to RMAing it back to newegg... It is a refurb so I only have like 15 days to decide if it is stable which is a little shady

Last time I had that, it was a bad Hard Drive, luckily IBM was nice enough to send me a new drive after 1 year.

I tried reinstalling the OS and it would work, but after a few months, it would start acting up, it was sooo bad that I could not even install Windows anymore.

Thanks guys.. I'll keep an eye on the funkiness of windows and if it happens again I'll try a different drive... my motherboard is a refurb though so I've been noticing some strange things with it too... we'll see.. I guess that is why they made the RMA...
