Hey guys wanting to upgrade video in this gateway to play games does the phenom 9600 have the power to push a gtx 285 or 4870x2 im looking to play games 1900x1200 like wow ect with eveything maxxed out...
the 9600 is an okay cpu at best especially in games that dont take advantage of more than 2 cores. also either one of those cards would be a ridiculous purchase at this time. surely you realize that ATI has already launched 5850/5870 DX11 cards that are better buys? really with that cpu I would go no better than a 5850. even it would be held back a bit especially in games that dont effectively utilize more than 2 cores.
