I just recently purchased the following items:
AMD 64 3200+
Asus K8N-E Deluxe NF3 Motherboard
2X512 PC3200 memory

Now im wondering what video card I should get. Looking to spend no more than $250

Do the 6800NU's flash THAT well? I thought it was a crapshoot whether you could unlock the pipes. My BFG6800GT-OC bit the dust last night so I may need to buy a new card. Would be nice not to blow another 400 if I can flash something and get similar results.

On Pricewatch you can find several 6800 LEs for $245.00-$255.00, but if you want a REAL 6800 it will cost you $271.00.

It's not a matter of flashing. You just disable the hardware masking with RivaTuner. It's a no risk process that is easily reversable. The success rate is pretty high too. I think most of the chips dubbed as 6800's were speed binned rather than binned for faulty pipes.

Got my 6800nu at MicroCenter for 239.99 plus tax it was 259$ out the door. It performs very well with the pipes unlocked and overclocked.
