My FX-60 is a wunderful CPU, I love it and its a fatastic Overclocker.
But Im somewhat at a loss, let me explain..... I have O'cd many CPU's From Barton XP to a Core 2 Duo E6600, always theres that little sweet spot you find where Ram and CPU runn fastest and most stable..upping voltages varying Timings ect, I uderstand the concept of O'cing is what I'm saying so dont lamenize your answers be strait forward.
OK I have FX-60, Asus A8N-Sli Premium, 750w power supply, G.Skill 2GB 2*1GBZX kit, X-Fi Xtreme music, 2* 300GB Maxtor HDD, 7950GX2 Video card.... Now heres the problem or question(which ever I just want help or input).
My FX-60 can achieve 3.1-3.2Ghz @ standard Vcore of 1.35-1.42 (I know thats wierd)
Ram Seems Stable upto 258 1-1 FSB speeds,
But I cant get the system to BE STABLE its driving me nuts..
Ive tried timings from factory shiped to loose e.g. 2-3-2-5...../3-3-3-8 and ranging from 2.6-2.85 Volts and nothing is windows stable. stable memtest(ran it 4-5 passes multiple times) but not in the OS.
CPU is Stable I can crank it well past 3.4Ghz with out upping Vcore past 1.5 on air cooling, and burn in test on just the CPUwill go for ever... and will run FSB up to 300
Its a fresh Windows install and Brand new ram.
Im lost I need all of yalls help to figure this out....
give me your Ideas thought or even your Timings just help me out plz
( I would Like to keep FSB 285Mhz and below and and ram above 228 cuz below this I have no problems with stability, and I was running 245FSB 1-1 ram@ 245 perfectly stable but I reset Bios settings. (ahhhh) Opps"point being memory is capable of OC"
