What can I do with this 9600pro?

I'm pretty sure I have a straight up ATI video card. It's got samsung memory chips, and a big ATI logo on the HSF. I'm trying to find out if there are any softmod's for this card, and also i'm trying to get the ati OC utility that w1zzard made. His page, ocfaq.com, is down. If I were to buy an aftermarket HSF and memory heatsink kit, what should I get?

DOH! I have a Transcend "powered by" 9600pro and it seems no one has even heard of it. There are no BIOSes out there for it. It looks exactly like the Powercolor 9600pro with samsung 2.86ns memory. Red PCB and same fansink with clear fins same everything (even says "R96A" in italics on the top as well)... I wonder if its the same card. I cant tell what memory is on it exactly as I do not know what to look for on it. Their website www.transcendusa.com is pretty helpfull.... not.

Yah, thanks Unoid, I went there, I was actually going to send you some pics of my card to add to your pics page but since it looks EXACTLY like the powercolor 9600pro you already have there, and the fact that my digicam takes crappy pics up close I decided against it. I've decided to be happy with my 450/350 OC I got on it now unless something easy and better comes along to softmod it. (I'm pretty shakey with a soldering iron and small bits). I really wanted the 500/350 as I know its probably able to do it with a voltmod. w1zzard's thingy actually puts me at 460/379 as my maxes, but I run at 450/350 to be safe. I personally dont think a better cooling solution for this is necessary because its already got that really hefty (way better than ATI stock) stock cooler on it. Anyway, thanks for your help, if I had a 9600XT I would send you the vgpu and vrams on it.

I've tried w1zzard's atitool version 0.0.14 and for some reason when I use the "find max core" or "find max mem" option it starts turning my clockrate down. I've been doing it manually and i'm at 465/339 with this stock "built by ati" 9600 pro. I've still got room to move around, but I wish I could be lazy and have it do it for me.

I had this same problem. I posted in w1zzard's thread about it. All you need to do is abort the test and start the test again after the cube starts rotating in the 3D window.
