My FSB Is 250 and If I go any higher the system will not post.

Is there any thing else i can do now to reach like 2.7, 2.7 GHz

Anybody? Im sure its just a quick and easy answer that I can't find out myself.

i'm not that experienced with overclocking, but i would think it would help to loosen your ram timings a bit. does anybody else think that would help or am i just shooting blanks?

I take it you are running at stock voltage? Not all chips are guaranteed to run at high speeds with no voltage bump. You can also try up to 1.4 since most coolers today can easily handle that much voltage.
