What Cables Do I Need????

correct me if im wrong but there is no optical out on that card. he should just get a rca mini plug and and run rca cables to his stereo. am i missing something
 
Nope, you are not wrong. There is no optical interface on the Audigy gamer.

I would suggest that you pick another sound card if you are gonna buy that audio system.

If you insist on buying the Audigy you are going to need three mini to RCA cables to connect it to the receiver

Note: three of those cables will not fit a Audigy

I agree.

You should get a different soundcard that supports the digital outputs.
 
The Audigy 2 with the 5.25" drive bay has Optical out. You can eaither buy it as a set, the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum, or if you already have the audigy 2, just get the 5.25" drive bay.

It's just another option.
 
The specs says the Yamaha system has a digital coaxial input, in which case all you need is a minijack to RCA cable (just like the analog cables) and connect the A2's digital output to the receiver's digital coaxial input with it.
 
I heard the HDA X Mistique is good. I just ordrered one a couple days ago.
