Ok, looking for something to do on a Saturday morning and best thing I can find is to waste some bandwith.

But no, seriously I am kind of courious how my temps compare to others and how hot is too hot for normal usage?? I was kinda looking at water cooling but Im starting to wonder if I even need it.

If you wanna play post your idle temp, your loaded temp (for a loaded temp I figure 5 min of Orthos should do it), and a brief description of your set up as far as cooling is concerned

My set up is:

CoolerMaster Wave Master case, the one that got bad reviews for inadequate air flow

FreezerPro 7 CPU fan ontop of a e6850@ 3.4

No case mods, using stock fan locations with some better quality case fans.

With orthos load my E6300 @ 3.4 is running at around 51c, 42c idle.

Under water with my modified TDX.

Sorry, I can't take a screenshot as that's the chip that's been devoted to my remote-controlled server.

Just transplanted my rig into a Stacker 830 yesterday and the temps blew my mind.

E4300 OC-ed to 2.4 (max of my board :()
24 Idle
32 Load (Orthos 1hr)
stock heatsink

My HDD is 18C, so I'm guessing ambient is close to that.

I just checked, ambient is 17c in my basement  my dad's a nut about using electricity... 62's actually warm for down here, though, 58 is more realistic :p

here are mine...

the CPU fan temperature thing is jacked.. it was been at 127c for 6 days now... and if it was that hot.. i could have some plastic goop on my heat sink
