Just curious to get an idea of what you guys are folding on (processor, speed, OS). I've read the FAQ on the folding website and it says that they base their allowed folding time on a 500MHz Celeron working 10hrs a day. The comps I got here at home are mostly old and they take forever to complete WU's. right now I've only got one comp folding cause it would increase the electricity bill alot if I had all the comps in the house folding. If your interested to see what kinda comps we have in my house look here.

Duron 900 Mandrake 8.2

Well so far I have:

Athlon XP 1700+ @ 2.2ghz (10*220) - XP Professional
(3)Pentium 4 1.5ghz - 2000 Professional
(4)Pentium 4 2.0ghz - 2000 Professional
(4)Pentium 4 2.53ghz - 2000 Professional
(1)Xeon 2ghz - 2000 Server

Still to be added are:

(5)Pentium 4 1.5ghz
(3)Pentium 4 2.0ghz

Don't worry about your electric bill, it's for a good cause!!!

spare box w/750 Duron getting a new OS load on it, should be up in a few days.

I have a:
3.1ghz p4 HT 2 Instances
1.2 ghz AMD

You could fold on those 950 mhz and 1 ghz AMDs they would do very well.

You can view kdfold statistics for all these here

Bugalaman- did you just add a bunch of computers lately? you're place in the stats will be climbing VERY quickly with the amount of output you'll have. way to go.

grjr- get that 950 and 1ghz folding man! ... if they are already on 24/7 it adds a couple $3-$5 bucks a month worth of juice, if they are only 9-5 machines (or less  ) then it'll cost you even less. ... one is better than none. Best of luck, sharp

I started folding back in october or november. I think I have a total of around 30 CPU's folding but because they aren't logged in all the time, I only get about 5 units done in a week.
Damn, I'm all the way back to 17010th place.

Athlon 1.2GHz
Athlon XP 2100+
Athlon XP 2500+
Pentium 4 1.8A
Pentium 4 2.8C (making use of HyperThreading)
Pentium M 1.3 (at least, when the laptop is at home)

Hopefully, I'll be adding a 700MHz Athlon, 866MHz Pentium III, and a 933MHz Pentium III.

Just added a 433 Celeron to the P3 850 I started with.
I wonder how that's going to work out.
Going to run it 24/7 like it's bigger brother. We'll see if it finishes it's Tinker in time!
I think it's a beta
P697_l939_wt_raleigh
400

Right now, just the two rigs in the sig... but I've got some borgs coming (~7GHz from one friend and his families rigs, we'll see who else is willing to give me their cycles).

Well it takes the 433 Celeron about 2 hrs to do 1% of the 400 Tinker so it should be done in 8-9 days.
Hope that's acceptable.
Ooops,
make that 4hrs to do 1%

40,992 MGHZ of folding power!!!!

most of these are folding now but they all will be by next saturday!!!

I am folding on two computers:
Athlon64 3200+
1024 MB RAM

and the second is
Athlon 2400+
768 MB RAM

I have thought about purchasing a couple of used computers, around 550-700MHZ PIII's that Compgeeks.com sells for around $100, so I could play with Linux plus have them fold. Would performance on such workstations be acceptable?

Also, would anyone be interested in purchasing a Duron 1GHZ with ECS K7S5A MB, 512MB SDRAM? Built in Ethernet, just needs a hard drive and video card to start folding. And a case.

2 x P4 2.4's WinXP Pro
2 x P3 750's Redhat linux 9.0
1 x Pentium 450 Slackware Linux
1 x Pentium 3 900 WinXP
2 x Athlon XP 1800+
1 x Athlon XP 2500+

and i tried to get some dude to put his extra linux box to work and:

<AceTracer> it costs $10 a month to keep a 1 computer on and working, cancer isn't worth 1that much to me

AMD:

2 1900+ (1.6ghz) Palomino
3 1800+ (1.53ghz) " "
2 2500+ (1.83 and 2.0ghz, different FSB)
2 Athlon 1.2ghz T-Bird space heaters :)
2 Athlon Slot-A 600mhz
2 Duron 1.2ghz

Intel:
P4 1.5ghz
P4 2.0ghz

1 Linux box, the rest are Win98SE or WinXP Pro.

Oh yeah, got one homeless 1ghz T-Bird around here somewhere...

2 P4 3.0
1 P4 2.8
2 P4 2.53
1 P4 2.26
1 P4 2.2
1 P4 1.5
1 amd 64 3000+
1 XP 3200
1 XP 2800
2 XP 2500
2 XP 2400
3 XP 2000

And 1 amd 64 3400+ on the bench. ( Waiting on a bay reservoir for the water cooling setup) Thats the extent of my little setup. I have run out of room in my office and when i tried to put kvm switches in the kids rooms the wife did not like that idea. I will just have to make sure my office in the house I am building is bigger. :D

Reading all the replies I just realized maybe I should have asked what computers are you folding on that you own. It's just hard to believe that you guys own so many high end comps

I own all of my computers. The only computer in the house that doesn't fold is the wifes. She always shuts hers down so I don't even bother. I will be adding some more machines shortly after we move to the new house. :)

Well, Dr., I've just about completed the replacement of our old office computers with new ones. I added another 2.8Ghz today. At last look, I have almost approached matching your current production. And then you say that you're adding more!

Well, I personally own both of my systems, but yeah, some people are just crazy with their systems. Check out the thread for people showing off their DC farms...check out the guy with a shelf with about 15 computers, no cases sitting on it. I have though about building some ghetto "Blades" and figured the cost would go around $750 for a 4 blade LINUX setup with 1 additional configuration the same but with Hard Drive and CD-ROM to act as the server. Throw in a cheap router/switch and voila! Mass Folding.

Currently:
Athlon XP 2ghz
Athlon XP 2ghz
Tualatin 1.3ghz
PIII 667mhz
P4 2.4ghz (part time)

I've also got a Duron 1ghz setup downstairs that has never folded. If I upgrade it to a 2400+, I may finally get it folding.

I'd borg my workplace (small multimedia design place), but we've got slooow computers. Our file server is like a dual PII-266. We have several other dual PII/PIII systems that are all sub 500mhz. My machine is the fastest, and it's only a P4 2.4ghz 400mhz fsb system.

Currently:

AMD Athlon XP 2700+ eMachine @ 2.1 Ghz
Running Overnight, and while I'm at school

About to add:

Intel Celeron eMachine @ 1.8 Ghz
Will run constantly, day and night...its just sitting there, waiting for a purpose...It'll get one...

(1) Athlon XP Barton 3200+
(1) Athlon XP 1600+
(1) Pentium4 2.0 GHZ
(1) Athlon Thunderbird @ 900mhz
(1) Duron @ 850mhz

~7350 mhz of folding power!

I have folding

1 Athlon XP2400
2 Athlon XP2100's
1 Duron 1.2Ghz
2 Duron 1.1Ghz
a dually DuronMP @ 1.1Ghz each
1 Duron 1.0 Ghz
1 Athlon 1.3 Ghz.

Time for some upgrades :p

Not much here but helps:

celeron 600mhz

Pentium 166mhz slowest of the bunch

Running tinkers they have put out 52 work units in 2 days

the Pentium 233 is running a gromac and has done 1500/5000 in a day

about to add to another Pentium 233 and an amd 233

(1) Athlon XP Barton 3200+
(1) Athlon XP 1600+
