What are good computer speakers for beginners in music production?

I just got off a short online course on music production and I’m looking into creating beats of my own. I have a pair of Beats headphones but I learned that you also need a good set of speakers for your computer because you also have to listen to the beats that way.

There’s a Behringer under £60 that I saw on this list but would that be good enough? I don’t have a lot of money to spend for this because I’m just a beginner and I don’t even know if I would ever be good enough. Behringer’s a good brand, right? Some reviews on this post says that it doesn’t have good bass though or none at all.

Should I go with this or do you have any other suggestions?

P.S. I’m into hiphop so bass matters.

Not familiar with the Behringers (when I was shopping in US other brands came up or were on sale).
No reason they are not fine.
These are unpowered speakers though, some kind of amp will be needed.
If they have thrift stores in UK (I think they do) might find one there.
Lepai in US, Lepy in UK, is a 10/10 watt "T" amp, it will drive efficient speakers. These amps are cheap and limited power. MAY/SHOULD work as a low cost option.

The power supplies are usually rubbish, hum past half volume. Computer Monitor power bricks work fine. Some laptop bricks are good, some not.

You would need a patch cord, computer 3.5mm jack to two RCA jacks. Following is example, there are cheaper

I have experience with the smaller end Behringers and I wouldn't recommend them. However the little bit larger monitor models like the B3021A give a nice value for money.

Monoprice is #170 in US, L100+ UK.

B3021A is an 8 woofer / 2 inch ribbon tweeter. $250 each at partsexpress USA
Behringer 1C-BK IS $80 on US amazon, 5 1/4 inch woofer, 1/2 inch tweeter (cellulous?) Might benefit from a tweeter upgrade. good reviews on amazon.

For what it is worth the Monoprice ones seem to be using the same components as much more expensive Mackie monitors.

I think there is also a 6.5" B3020A for a lot less.

If you can get them, the Monoprice studio monitors are quite good. Especially for the price.

I don't own them but have seen the 5" in action and prefered it to the KRK Rokit 6 that I had for a while.

Thanks. Will read some reviews about it. Maybe I can consider this one.
