hi,I dont do much gameing but sometimes ..I dont know how to overclock...but I do a lot of internet stuff every day ..now I,am running a Athlon 2400..now.I want my pages to fly I thinking about .. amd 4000.or..fx55 and the 64x5200 something that will really crunch the pages

I just bought a brisbane w/ tforce 550 board for roughly $160,
1 gig of ocz memory for $80
Westinghouse 22" for 300
New gaming Chassis for $60
Red Razer Mouse for $50
Geforce 7600gs - trade of old hardware plus $75.00 cash
All in all i am very happy with my upgrade.
The brisbane overclocks really high. from 1.8 ghz mine reaches
over 2.6 ghz easily and with better pus and memory *which i have tried*
reaches over 3 ghz w/ ease.
All in all I spent $525 for a complete upgrade
and my gf bought the chassis and gaming mouse
so I really only spend $405 hehe its all about the planned upgrades.

well. buying new, ditch the 939 socket...go for AM2 
If gaming isnt your thing, I guess there's no need for an SLI board and maybe this X1600PRO (or a GDDR3 7600GS - I especially like the Xpertision one...nice and cheap ) is a better option than a 6600GT...
about the CPU, a X2 4600+ (or a X2 5200+ for that matter) ought to be more than enough for what you do...
and if you want the pages to fly, get 2GB of RAM (maybe this kit)
