:D
just got hired working as web designer at a retail company here in ny ... i'm thinking about getting a cool design desk for myself at home

now ... I only have approx 5x5' corner space next to my treadmill machine so it definitely can't be too bulky, budget? I will say around 400 to 600 the most ... any input would be appreciated

lol ... what I meant with 5x5' is the max size of the desk itself, I think it's pretty decent size. Also, it's a corner space, 5' spans left, 5' spans right, the length connecting each side will be much longer than 5'.

I will increase my budget to around 700, no Ikea please ... pardon my comment but Ikea's is 75% of the avg cost but only 30% in quality. Ciao !

We're just wondering why created a thread about desks in Displays.

oops, am i in the wrong forum? i've searched all over and this is the one closest.
anyway, i think i found something cool ... ever heard biomorph. i just visited their site (http://www.biomorph.com) yesterday and found a lot of good stuff there. if you're designer/multimedia pro/even gaming hardcore, i think you should check that out.

i checked microsoft surface and it's cool, still infant but has lots of potent. eventually minority report will be common daily stuff, my take it will take no longer than 6-7 years to run existing apps in that machine with its interface. by that time, it will be probably be running on a piece of see-through glass.

peace..
