I was just browsing the Bestbuy site and look what I found for $649.99!! It has an hdmi input as well as component composite svideo!

EDIT: further inspection revealed 700:1 contrast ration, fixed stand, and lack of dvi.:( Oh well. I wonder if this uses the new samsung tn panel?

Damn.....specs look pretty good since it has all the main ones HDMI+DVI+Components.

I have one more week on the 2407 until I can return it and having the 37w3 previously, I know Westinghouse makes some great monitors.

Does we know what kinda panel it uses?

Thanks

I'd doublecheck to see if it actually has DVI inputs before making a final decision, unless you don't need it of course.

There's some conflicting info going on here...the OP states there is No DVI, the closeup at BB's website does Not show a DVI port either, but the product description clearly states "DVI".

Edit: the few google hits i researched seems to confirm that this unit does not have a DVI port (?)

Anybody has any success finding a preview/review on this thing? I already have a Phillips HDMI-DVI cable so the lack of DVI doesn't bother me. Still interested in seeing what kind of a scaler it uses for non-1080p material

Well, the LG L246WP has an HDMI port and no DVI, but Best Buy also lists this model as having DVI anyway. An HDMI port does support DVI via a DVI-HDMI cable, so I guess Best Buy feels that this is sufficient to advertise that DVI is "supported", although I definitely agree that they should be very clear as to whether there's an actual DVI port or not.
