AT&T just sent notice of new terms of service and in the terms is this statement:

AT&T Uverse High Speed Internet throughput speeds may be temporarily reduced when a customer is using other U-verse services in a manner that requires high bandwidth. This could occur more often with higher speed Internet access products. It may be necessary, for some users, for AT&T to set a maximum downstream speed on a customer line to enhance the reliability and consistency of performance.

Looks like it's not just Comcast pissing people off anymore.

I hope you're right. Of course, all the 'don't worry' peeps are somehow not affiliated with AT&T and AT&T itself has not said anything to substantiate that they will not cap you after you reach their 'at the will of AT&T' limits.

I guess only time will tell but I really hope you are right.

Well I dont have U-verse but i have ATT DSL and my bandwidth seems to have deteriorated recently... will check it out.

I guess its a good thing I switched to Charter, although its almost certain that they will soon cap also.
