I just want to give a big THANK YOU to all of the new folders for the [H]orde that have jumped on board.. If you are here until we are number one.... or the next 5 years.. we welcome you!

There has not been the usual "Welcome me I am new..." thread in a while... but I have been seing lots of new faces everywhere, and just want you to feel like you are a part of the team, we don't need no stinkin corp. folders to get on top.... we can do the damn thing our own damn selves!

 
Dont diss the coporate folders. they can possibly bring in a huge number of points. Think Logikality aka Bubba. :D

Thats not the point. Look at all the small guys that have helped us too... thats mostly what this team is about... the big guys help out a big amount... but so do all of the new folders... so welcome them damnit. :p ;)
 
I may be bringing in about 50 pentium 4 machines, 24/7 and they range from 1.8Ghz to 3.2Ghz.

doesn't it suck being #2? :) I think the aussies will soon know how that feels, lol
 
ZROUT, you will probably take the official [H] Bubba title from Logikality if that happens. :D
 
Yeah all the small guys like me.... :) I only gave 200,000 points in the last 3 months.... :D
 
I don't know about that, don't those guys have like 100 cpu's going? lol

Right now I only have 5 P4 3.0's going, but it's enough to keep me in top 500 of the [H]orde and slowly making my way up.
 
I AM noticing a nice trend lately. A few weeks back I remember looking behind me in the stats and only seeing one or two guys poised to pass me.... now I look back through the pages and I'm seeing all sorts of RED! :eek: Might take some of them two years but they're creeping up on me.... some of them are outproducing me by 100%!

I'll only be a practice round for the new guys.... getting past our team leaders will be a trick. Hell I can't seem to break into the top 100! :)

My xbox with its newly installed 128mb of ram is folding again. Should net us another 5ppd. The aussies never saw it coming :D

I switched most of my boxen from distributed.net to folding@home a week or so ago. It seems like a much better cuase than the rc5-72 thing that is going to take 5 years to get anywhere. :p

I bring these to the party:

Dual 2400+ MP with a gig 'o RAM
Quad 500 Mhz Xeon PIII with um RAM of some quanity
3200+ A64 with 512 MB
2.8 Ghz Xeon with a Gig 'o RAM
2000+ Athlon XP with 512 MB (for a little while anyway)
1800+ Athlon XP with 512 MB
2x 1700+ Athlon XP with 512 MB
1600+ Athlon XP with 512 MB
1400 Mhz Athlon Thunderbird with 512 MB
500 Mhz Athlon T-brid


Planned additions are at least one dual Opteron. (that may be a single CPU board with a DC A64 or maybe if I feel a bit wacky one day a dual CPU board and DC procs)

Yeah, maybe FAH isn't a instantly gratifying as dnet but it works out. :D I was in the top 800 on dnet so it'll be insteresting to see where that puts me on FAH. A new challenge is a good thing. (and this is for a better cuase.) Thanks for the welcome all. :)
