SO my new system is finally up and running but there are some funny glitches with it.
First is that the PSU fan sometimes spins really fast under load, then quickly slows down to nearly inaudible. This does not really bother me but the next one is super wierd...

When I installed the HDD&power led connectors in the MB, only the power led was working. I flipped over the HDD led polarity but still nothing. OK i thought, its dead. So i built a simple tester with 9V battery and a resistor. Strangely, both leds were working!!! I put the connectors back and again only the power one works. I know its not the MB as I tested the power led connected to the hdd led output on the MB and it worked fine.

Anyone guess whats going on?

NEVERMIND I solved the problem!

I removed the case front panel to get to the LEDs and it seemed one was shorted to the metal chassis. So i put a bit of scotch tape under it and it works!!
