It's weird that I get a lower score (6.7) when I enable SLI but I get a higher score if I disable my SLI to a single card operation (7.9). I assume Windows 8 has a glitch when SLI is enabled. Just weird... But seriously, they should address this glitch.

WEI has never supported SLI properly, and is not able to run multiple GPUs at 100% during its graphics test. Don't expect it to ever be fixed.

But that's okay if you understand that WEI is not a benchmark and stop caring about it. It's just Microsoft's failed attempt at setting up a system where software manufacturers could say "you need to be this tall to board this ride". Hardware manufacturers and computer OEMs never bothered to support WEI.

The only thing WEI is good for (and I'm not sure this isn't apocryphal) is forcing Windows to notice that you've installed an SSD so certain SSD-specific settings will be set properly (like turning off disk defragmentation for the SSD).

Yeah, I have noticed the same issue as JCNiest5 and consequently only score 6.7 in the W.E.I. test with SLI but 7.8 if I force Single GPU mode. Not a big deal, I know, but the idea behind W.E.I. was to assign a rating to your PC so that you'd know whether a game would run well or not (via Game Explorer I believe). I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed considering that SLI and CFX do add to the graphics performance of a PC and, therefore, should be rated in this benchmark.

To show how borked it really is, my 480GTX shows a 7.9 vs your 680's 7.8..Yet my 16GB of DDR3 2133 only gets a 7.8, while my 3770K @ 4.8Ghz "only" gets a 7.7:rolleyes:..

And my 3770K running at stock speed gets an 8.0 WEI while my 16GB Mushkin 2133 score an 8.2 compare to your 7.8 at the same speed. What a bunch of weird scores! So inconsistent!

this is on Windows 8?
I also noticed my 3770K gets 7.7 on windows 7 no mater how much I overclock it

Yeah, Win8 on mine.

Hmm I score a 7.9 on memory at 1866 MHz or above (and even at 1600 with decent timings).
I would get a 7.9 across the board but my 2600k @ 4.5 rates 7.8.
WEI is pretty useless tbh.

Edit: this is on Win7, I am in no rush to move to 8

All versions of Windows prior to Win 8 max out at 7.9
