Weird Winamp soudn issue

Using both Winamp 5 or 2. When I type i get skipping sounds in music. Its not process related. I opened photoshop and did a bunch of really process intesive stuff and nothing unless i was typing. I also don't notice anythign when i play an MP3 in media player. Its not speaker related because headphones/ comp speakers, and stereo all ge tthe same results. Also, not memory related, mem monitor is at about half whenever i notice it. Spybots run, Norton updated.

Relevant System Specs:

A7n8x Deluxe Mobo (use onboard sound latest driver)
Windows XP Sp1 All updates
2600+ AMD Proc
512 pc2100 ddr
 
Up the process priority maybe? There are several places you'll want to try adjusting it...There's one just general winamp priority setting, there's one for the mp3 decoder (input plugin), and there might be one for the output plugin. Try raising it and see what happens?
 
If that doesn't work, check out forums.winamp.com and look though the tech support forum or post a new topic on it.
