I'm hoping someone may have an idea about this one, I'm not even real surehow to search it over google.

I recently installed a second SATA drive for additional storage, moved My documents to it. It's a Samsung Spinpoint 500gb.

Now about half the time when i try to watch a video off of the drive, the sound plays but no video. When this happens I can still listen to music etc, only video is affected. Upon restart the video almost always plays again.

Now the funniest thing is, as I first thought my vid card may be having trouble, is that when this happens I can move the file to the desktop - which is still on the original Maxtor 320gb drive, and it plays, no restart required.

I have VLC, GOM, Realplayer, and Windows Media player installed, and the problem occurs for all of them.

Any ideas of where to start? I'm thinking I should move the SATA cable to a different outlet first, but won't be able to do that until tonight.

Thanks
