I have a Mad Dog entertainer 7.1 card based on the Via Envy24 chipset.
Older card but works flawlessly in XP, in Vista however everything works fine but the mic. The mic DOES work but it has a weird popping sound on the listeners end (like on vent, streaming radio etc) The drivers support Vista, but since its an older card i'm just wondering if thats something I'll either need to live with or get a new card.
Someone suggested a new mic/headphones but the same set works fine in XP, I've also been told to try a USB headset. Anyone else had any issues like this or other recommendations?
