Weird sound issue while gaming

Ok, I have a semi weird issue with my sound while gaming, and frankly it's bugging the hell out of me. While I'm in a game (say BF2, especially this one) and there's voice-over going on, the voice-over part is choppy as all hell, all the time, every time. The rest of the sound is flawless, everything is crisp and clear, no crackling or anything, just choppy voice-over and ONLY while gaming.

I am using a Sound Blaster Live 24-bit card, and I disabled onboard audio through the BIOS. If any one can figure this out or help me track this down that would be great. Thanks.

i have the same problem. I think they recorded the sounds that way to sound "authentic" but it does bother me too :(
 
It wasn't doing it when I was using onboard audio though, and on my friend's rig he has the same sound card and doesn't ever have this problem. I dunno what's up with it, I've played with all the settings but still, only the voice part has issues.
