Weird SLI problem

I have a 7950gx2.

If I run 3dmark2006 immediately after reboot, I have 8000pts (which is OK).

If I run CERTAIN games, and THEN run 3dmark2006, I get ~5000 3dmark2006 (which is low).

How come ?
 
Check memory / virtual memory.

Something is staying in there after you close out of it.
