Hello, this is windows 2000 pro with this issue.

I have a problem where I can't resolve any of my local computer names, I know everything is set right So while I was checking the ordinary and the not so, I came accross my route table and I saw an entry (I could be wrong on this) that is making all my broadcasts go to no where

Code:

0x1 ........................... MS TCP Loopback interface
0x2 ...00 ff e3 e7 96 41 ...... TAP VPN Adapter.
0x1000004 ...00 d0 59 b5 44 76 ...... Intel(R) PRO/100 VE Network Connection
0x1000005 ...00 05 5d 97 8f dc ...... Realtek RTL8180 Wireless LAN (Mini-)PCI NI

route: bad destination address 255.255.255.255

I tried to clean up the table a bit for you all to make it easyer to read but nope no can do (argh can we get some pre tags use!). NOW don't think that last route is a typo thats how its stated in my system, I'm thinking that its an error and I wanted to manually remove the route and add it correctly... No go as you can see. Anyone else ever seen this or know whats going on?

I got my name resolution back, I forgot to mention that I was using a wireless card and which adapter that was... anyway. Dran thirdparty firmware, I found out that using the loopback option on the router was causing it to return that using the boradcast address (192.168.0.255) in my address range was unreachable so everytime I tried to broadcast wirelessly to the local computers I would get ICMP unreachable errors (I decided to sniff to see what was going on)

That weird route is still there however.
