Not sure if somethings up with my hardware or software, but whenever I click on a .mpg file, the system does this sound (that it does when an error comes up) but no error comes up. And the file wont play, Windows Media Player wont start up and none of the Icons on the desktop work after this happens.

What could this be?
 
I think it might have something to do with Windoes Media Player because other programs like realplayer work.
