So I get home last night and see the rig I just built down. Go down the basement and the hard drive has died. This rig I built the day before using 3x XFX 270 cards along with a 6970 and 7870 cards. So I grab a new hard drive, image it and throw it back in the system, then fire it up and load drivers and grab CGMiner and a config file off my home server.

I have about 8 of the XFX 270 cards and they all run at about 480KH/s @1120/1500, 19 Intensity and 24k TC. I have 3 of the XFX 6970 cards. Every single one of them runs great at about 507-510KH/s, 950/1250, I-18, and TC@8000, no matter what rig I put them in. So I fire up the rig and get it to mining, everything working as its supposed to. At the last minute I decide to update it to Win 8.1, so I start downloading the update and leave the miner running and go to bed.

This morning I get and remote into my miner and complete the update, reboot, reload Cat 13.12's and fire up the miner. The 6970 card is throwing HW errors like crazy doing 430KH/s, my rock stable 270 cards are going nuts at 520KH/s running perfectly and the 7870 card is doing exactly what it always does at 405KH/s. I've checked the config and everything is exactly how its supposed to be. I just gained 30KH/s on each of my 270 cards and lost 50KH/s on my 6970 card. I ended up adjusting the TC on the 6970 card to 12192 and it stopped spitting HW errors, and ended up stable at 465KH/s, but anyone else gain by going to Win 8.1? Most of the rest of my rigs are running Win 8, I never bothered to update them, but thinking about updating them all to 8.1 now...

I'm running 8.1 and I did run cgminer before upgrading however I was still in the process of dialing my 290s in. It wasn't until after I upgraded to 8.1 that I flashed Stilt's BIOS and locked them down. I do have a couple 270s coming this weekend. I will use your settings on 8.1 and see what I get.
