Weird problem... Possibly the video card?

Hi everyone,

For the past month or so I have been having this issue with my computer locking up, forcing me to do a hard shutdown to get it to come back. It usually happens when I first turn on in the morning and then won't do it again for the rest of the day.

The past few days it has been happening much more frequently. I think I am stable right now but it has locked up in me 3 or 4 times this morning.

At this point I think it is the video card. I usually get no errors but yesterday it appeared to recover for a minute, saying the video card has recovered from a "serious error" (or something like that) with a pop up at the bottom right hand corner of my screen. After that is promptly locked up again.

I've included a picture of what my screen looks like when it happens because right now it is about as much as I have to go on.

I really appreciate any advice that can be given. As you can see by the picture I am ready to buy an new GPU at this point.

Thanks,

Are you running the latest version of your drivers for your card? Also, maybe try to pull it and re-seat it and double check the connections of the cables.

Yes, I am running the latest version EVGA has for my card.

Yesterday I took the card out, made sure to get all the dust out of it (there was very little to begin with.) It ran fine for the rest of the day and then started acting up again this morning.
