Ok, well my PC was running for a couple months, until my WC pump died. After a couple of months i bothered to change the pump out, and now its been working even since January 10th. however, yesterday, i decided to move my PC from the floor to my desk and thats when everything went wrong. My PC wont turn on, it turns on for 1 second then turns off.

i isolated the problem, and it only occurs when u have the 8pin ATX wire connected to my mobo, when i disconnect it the PC turns on fine. Does any1 know what the problem possibly could be? How could this happen just by moving my PC to my desk :(

Specs:

Intel Q9450
GTX 280
Asus MF2 P45 board
corsair 1000 Watt HX PSU

My guess is that your problem is a coincidence, and not caused by moving the computer from the table to the floor.

Not much of a water cooling guy, did any liquid get on the board or in the case? Maybe moving the PC caused a drop of water that had been sitting in the case to touch the mobo? Totally guessing here.

Tear everything out of your case, set up a barebones, and check to see if it posts.

HMMM.... I tried taking the CPU out. Once i did the PC would turn on with EVERYTHING connected. However, as soon as i put the CPU chip in, it would go back to 1 second shut downs.
