Weird Picture Saving Thing

lol, i could really word it right in the topic . well anyways heres my problem. whenever i right click and "Save picture as" it always names the file untitled and saves it as a bmp only. before it would always keep the original name and save it as whatever it is, like a .gif or .jpeg. this just recently started happening and i dont know what it could be. anyone have any ideas?

i remember this being asked before but i forget the exact solution. perhaps it has to do with clearing your cache
