I just got a new HP pavilion elite and a message keeps flashing after the bios. It doesn't effect anything but its kinda annoying. Is there anyway to stop it from showing up?

Also is there a way to not display the bios screen. I know in my asus netbook there is a quick boot option that doesn't show the bios.

I took a picture of the message

it looks like your pc has a raid controller or raid capable sata controller. There won't be much you can do about making it disappear as the BIOS will in most cases require this to display prior to giving the OK to boot the OS

The computer is in AHCI mode. This is completely normal. The only thing that might make that hidden is by enabling the BIOS splash screen but that may appear before this anyways.

Yip, normal. It's only delaying your boot by a few seconds, so it shouldn't be a big deal. However, if you simply can't stand it, then you should be able to disable the raid controller in your bios. If there isn't an option in the Bios, then there should be one in your Raid Option Menu (hit CTRL+F when it prompts you).

Turning it off shouldn't hurt anything, and will make that prompt go away (in most cases).

I am pretty sure there's an option in your BIOS to turn it off. If its annoying to you then just turn it off. Just try to find it as most BIOS menu is different from one another.
