I have two computers my workstation and fileserver. I received a new WD2500 today and it absolutely would not work if it was powered by the fileserver, but if it was powered by the workstation it worked fine. I tried every 4-pin molex on the fileserver power supply. I tried it as master, slave, and even by itself. Right now it seems to be working fine with the power coming from the workstation and the ide going to the fileserver. Any ideas?
