I have a odd problem and im not sure where else to ask this so I figured why not here. OK here goes, I have an ASUS A7N8X (non deluxe) and a 120 gig Maxtor HD and a 30 gig Western Digital. Now for about a year the 30 was my main harddrive and I had no problems but I needed more space so I got the 120 and figured I would just use the 30 as a slave drive for more space. Now heres the problem when ever I play a game the 30 gig hd will start making noise and the harddrive light will go on and the game will stutter and when I end the game and go to Windows the computer will freeze. Now I have a 400watt power supply so I dont think that is it so any ideas?

How much RAM do you have and is your page file (virtual memory) on the 30GB drive?

If it's making a clicking noise before/during the stutters then the drives probably on it's last legs. Sounds like it's not too healthy right now anyway to me. You should try WD's diagnostics on it and see what they say.
