Weird GTX 1080 Purchase

So I check out the Amazon Warehouse deals from time to time and found a EVGA hybrid 1080 for $570. After I opened the box I figured why it was so cheap, the backplate read 1070. I was bummed but thought I should test it out and was surprised to see 1080 displayed in Windows. Googled the part number and it also says its a 1080. I wonder if the was a b stock?

I'd recommend benchmarking it and make sure it aligns with expected 1080 performance just to be sure.
