So i have this 9800 gt which is overheating alot (furmark 105C then throttles back to protect itself) so i put on a different cooler and at first i got all artefacting and glitches but the temp was lower. So thinking i destroyed the card i then ordered a 6870. However, now I lowered my OC slightly on my CPU (NOT GPU) and lowering vcore slightly the card has completely fixed itself :confused:
Specs:
Q6600 320 x 9 2.9 ghz
4 GB RAM
ASRock 4core1333 GLAN M (crap :D)
CM M520 real power modular PSU
Have I ordered that 6870 for nothing? Because I still play on 17 inch and im not planning on getting any larger until q4 this year q1 next year when HD7xxx GTX6XX is expected to be released.
TIA

The mobo could have been stretched to its limit on voltages, causing the GPU to not function properly. Really sounds like the VRMs were overloaded.
