Weird graphics anamoly

heh, kinda weird posting in the ATI forum.. anyway

playing World of Warcraft on my new laptop, had it for about two months now. Just recently (and not always) it has started doing this weird discoloration at the bottom and right edges of the screen. performance isn't affected, the game is running just fine. i always play on a hard flat surface so the fans are getting plenty of air.

my laptop uses the an ATI x600

it's really starting to bug me. it'll do this say one time out 10.

any ideas? (and yes it does it out of the water in the game too, it's just worse there, so that's where i took the screen)

I've seen that before....is it only in world of warcraft? have you run any other DirectX fullscreen apps or games? Just for the hell of it, i'd trying installing the new ATi haxed drivers by omega that will work with mobile cards http://www.omegadrivers.net/
 
it's not doing it in other programs, half-life 2, Doom 3 run without the rainbow bordering. I think I'll give the Omega drivers a try. Are they hard to remove if I don't like the results?
