So I finally got my monitors from Dell after 2 months (long story...)
Anyhoo... fired up a boat load of games and kept track of which ones worked, which ones didn't, and which ones kind of worked but had issues... (BTW - titan quest and torchlight work flawlessly, amazing)
There's two that stuck out to me - since they're two games that I plan on replaying with eyefinity. Namely, Fallout 3 and Dirt 2.
In Fallout 3, I managed to edit the ini to show the proper FOV so I can see the menus (previously the menu was cut off since the menus are Vert-, but the game itself is Hor+, go figure). This had a side effect of my mouse having a berserking fast horizontal sensitivity and a normal vertical one. By menus I basically mean... the pip boy. Obviously that's not ideal when using the pip boy. This is remedied by using my xbox360 controller... which has no sensitivity issues of course. Now all of this crazy mouse stuff aside, I notice that I lag whenever I use VAT. I don't think this has anything to do with game settings, since the lag doesn't make any sense - it's not a framerate slowdown lag... but literally a complete freeze up of the game for up to 10 seconds. Sometimes it's OK, only 1 second or so of pause, but sometimes I literally sit there for 10 seconds watching the VAT slowly appear. Anyone know what's going on?
For Dirt 2, everything works flawlessly and the game runs silky smooth even at such an insane res. However, there's one blemish - for some reason, the over the hood view has insane lag. Every other view mode is perfectly fine except for that one. I could of course just keep one view mode and stick with it... but I like to drive in over the hood a lot and sometimes I might tap the view change button accidentally. Anytime it enters over the hood it'll drop to single digit FPS and freeze up etc. It's almost like the VAT lag.
Any ideas or personal experiences?
