Weird error

I started getting this error lately and its taking longer to load vista:

"EDID does not contain the range limitation"

I have not changed drivers or anything from before. I did switch the connector from my card to using the vga adaptor that came with it instead of to hdmi. Occasionally my desktop will fail to load up now with dual displays in extended mode( one in vga, one in dvi).

I'm using a radeon 3850 in vista 32. Any ideas?
 
maybe your monitor is going bad or your video card, it's a toss up... what monitor(s) do you have? try doing a factory reset to it and see what happens.
 
It's actually a tv and a samsung 206bw monitor, the tv works fine with everything else. Actually so does the monitor...I think vista and catalyst have issues with EDID when it's not both connected through dvi/hdmi after googling a bit. There does not seem to be a solution though
