Weird disk problem...

I'm having a really weird problem with my harddrive. My friend came over and I burned him a copy of a movie I had, but for some reason the disk never ejected and I had to restart the computer before it would spit the disk out. Well after that, my computer is running reallllyyy slow. Load times are like a freaking 400 mhz celeron, if it decides to load at all. I've been getting some strange bsods, and for some reason I had to reload the main account because it lost all of its settings. I was overclocked, so I declocked and it seemed to fix the bsod errors, but load times are still astronomical.

I've done some hddtach tests with my WD 80 GB at it seems like it running fine, but when I run the test with my Maxtor 200 GB it doesn't complete, it hangs up.

I just got a brand spanking new psu in my computer because my less then 1 year old Antec's 12 volt rail was down to 9 volts and was causing serious issues with my 6800, and now this. I've poured over 400 bucks into this system in a week and its still having problems. :(

I need to stress that this system was running GREAT untill I burned that cd, and then it went to complete crap.

Are there any good free registry cleaning programs out there that I can try and fix this computer with?
 
2 things...

A: depending on how you overclocked, if your mobo didn't have a pci/agp frequency lock (or if it wasn't set) then there is a good likelihood that you corrupted the hard drive (which, as you can imagine, would be a bad thing)

B: if that isn't the case, it is entirely possible that something else got goofed up, maybe in the registry. The best program I have found is called "Registry Mechanic 3.0". They have a decent free version, but I would recommend buying the full version because it does quite a bit more scanning / fixing than the free version.
