Weird / different front panel USB headers?

So I just put together this computer out of spare bits and pieces, nothing special, but for some reason the front panel USB headers aren't the normal ones? Here's a picture of the regular USB front panel cable I have:

And here's what the headers on the motherboard look like:

Any idea why the hell the motherboard has those weird headers and what I can do to make them work with the front panel cable I have?

Thanks.

This is sometimes common on motherboards designed for proprietary cases.

Do you have a digital multireader?
Likely the header will fit on the the side with 8 pins.

if this is your header measure pins - and + it should read 5v and the the header should go one like normal with out the need of the key'd pin. Leaving the 2 pins on the left exposed and no overhang on the right.

if you have an old thumb drive around you can test it with that if your not worried about it potentially breaking it if you don't have a multimeter.

Oh what the hell, I just uploaded a picture to ask if I had it the right way...and noticed there isn't even a wire running to the pin I was worried about haha.

I'm thinking it should work like that like you said, I'll give it a try in a second. Thanks.
