Wondering if anyone has any experience of this graphical glitch.

When I to watch any kind of file after about 10min the screen shift down around 1/3 of the screen, so I have too then change the resolution to anything then click cancel so it sort's itself out. Other wise i get the first 1/3 of the screen being a random glitch colour, then the next 2/3 being the video, and then obviously missing the other 1/3 of that.

I initially though it was a bad format so I reformatted with a different NVIDIA graphics driver but the problem was still there.

I have installed/uninstalled FFDShow/Real Alt, MPC etc and have tried all the combination and have d/l and installed previous version of them all.

Still the glitch happends!

Any ideas? I'm not sure would a glitch like this be a dodgy gfx card?

Do you have a CRT monitor or an LCD? I've seen some CRT's that were in the throes of death do this...but never an LCD...

Had something similar to this on my LCD, didn't know that to get rid of it you had to do what you did but I couldn't see the dialog box to do anything. The upper 2/3 or so of my screen was just black and the bottom 1/3 was the rest of my screen, cropped and only viewing the top 1/3. I always thought it was an NV driver issue as I have a 6600gt, don't know how I got rid of it (updated to newest drivers I guess) but it did eventually go away. The problem I had was when I had XP installed but now I'm running Vista and it hasn't popped up yet.

Well I tried modded drivers, uninstalling the Dell screen drivers and nothing.
I never got the glitch while using VLC player so there must be something making it happen.

Anyhow I found a drive image from a couple f months ago and as I type there have been video glitches in over a hour of media usage.

Very weird.
