I just downloaded and played some of the Call of Duty 4 Demo.
I was wondering if anyone has heard of any issues with odd slowdowns and lag with the game. ( I read some forums about bad lag in multiplayer...that's not what i'm talking about.)
The game flies with a Core 2 @ 2.6 Ghz, 8800GT and 3 GB of RAM, but then it will just slow to a crawl and then all of a sudden return to normal. It's not motion blurr, explosions or something natural that would occur during in heavy fighting- I've played enough PC games to know the difference. There's no discernible pattern to the slowdowns, I can't reproduce them at a certain point in the game. They just come and go as I play.
All my other games work fine, including the Crysis demo. Anyone have any practical ideas (other than obvious suggestions, like uninstall drivers, driver cleaners, lower my settings, etc.)?
I am using 169.02 drivers after switching from 169.04.
