Weird Artifacts...from cpu?!?!

Whenever I play Battlefield 2, and only bf2, when my processors overclocked I get artifacts.
I had a P4C 3.2 @ 3517.9, and a X850 Pro (16 pipes unlocked @ 520/540)

When i clock the processor back down to 3.2 there is no artifacting, and even in source it dosen't artifact irregardless of the processor speed.

any ideas?

BF2 is sensitive to overclocking. I have seen on other sites people talking about similar things. The simple answer is just do not OC.

I used to run bf2 on a 3.0 P4 and had no problems at all (even with video settings on high), so there really is no need to overclock. I now run on a P4 3.4 and it only uses 50-60% of my processor when I am playing
