Weird AGP slot?

Im puttin togather a computer from parts layin around and I go to stick this old voodoo card in it and it looks like it will only fit in the agp slot backwards. I know its not a pci its way to short for that slot Ill try to make a diagram to show what im talkin about.

It looks like that little notch is in the wrong place on the agp slot so whats the deal?
