hehe sitting @ 3.7 with 1.675vcore might be stable @248FSB have yet to test im shure with 1.7vcore(1.68-9 actual) ill be able to get 249-250 FSB :) all with nice temps 34C idle and 41C load atm, fresh AS5 so might drop a degree as well.
and my 5900XT LOVES water, GPU went from 460 stock then 470 with modded bios and now 505 :D 505/977 is not to bad for $180! card. anyway i cant beleive i didnt do this sooner :)

actually fresh as5 will raise temps, but other than that... cool! :D

(as5 has to 'burn in' for ~100-200 hours or something to get the best temps;))

Heh another converted exos... wonder what case is it sitting on top of this time? :p

You cant trust the readout from Koolance. But then you also cant trust Abit's readout. So you really dont know what your temps are. :/

I thought the CPU was on die? While I agree that MBM5 readings are not the most accurate in the world, the CPU on die sensor is somewhat accurate and for the most part should be good enough for comparison purposes. Not many of us have properly calibrated temp sensors directly on our CPUs. If he got that temp from the CPU sensor it's probably within 3 degress of the actual temp, which would make it pretty good still.

I thought about Koolance a long time ago, but I passed, mostly because I find the blocks super ugly.

Its a little off, and so the temps read lower than they should. Read [H]'s review, they mention it and show how the numbers can be off.

well yes i know AS5 needs to burn in that is why i said they may drop a degree ;) (once burned in)
and i use ABIT EQ wich beleive it or not is a few C mroe accurate than my bios
i use more Vcore now than with air and the temps are over 20C lower under load now......

sounds like your reading the temps off the koolance. those temps are very inaccurate. check your temps from your bios sensors i garantee they will be much higher.

if your motherboard is abit and seem really high then your motherboard sensor might be off. But if you subtract 13 from your temp youll get the real temp.

the temps arent always a set number off, i notice they vary between 8-12C off.

Hi fallguy,

I think you misunderstood me.. I'm talking about the on die sensor, NOT the Koolance sensor... I really wouldn't use the koolance sensor other than as a rough relative measure either.

ok listen i know for a fact that my MB sensors are no more than 6-7 degrees off casue it was perfectly stable even at 63C under the MB sensor now that same sensor is registering 40C under load keep in mind the NB has a good HSF and the Vidcard is also watercooled add to that great case vent with Great turbulance provided by my 92mm 80CFM and everything is running full blast then yes i beleive my temps to be accurate BTW i dont even use the Crapy koolance temp monitor, its not even hooked up! i only use the bios and Abit EQ same as i used to get a 63C load @ 1.63Vcore using a Zalman now with koolance SAME sensor reads 40C under load with prime 95 running for over and hour @ 1.7vcore! everything I have ever seen about Abit temps say they report HIGH
