Hey, Today im trying to piece together a website with pre-made codes and im hoping i could get some help with it.

Its going to have a home page(duh) with nav bar that stays throughout the hole website, image slide and info. The nav bar id like to link to other pages with info on plans, contact, testimonials, etc, would incorporate with whmcs and a control panel

Thanks

Ive seen websites where they use jquery animations instead of page refreshes(possible for this?)

Do they not list wordpress in their features page?

But... free hosting, unlimited traffic, unlimited databases ect. Do you not think there is going to be a catch somewhere?

Is this serious?
I am supposed to trust a guy who doesn't know how to make a website to host my website?

Because im not a ace coder doesn't mean i cant host a website.

not at all the same thing

No one said anything about being ace, but how are you supposed to help clients troubleshoot/support your servers and their own apps if you lack basic skills? Get someone on board who knows this stuff pronto if you are serious about actually running a business. If you're not serious, there's a million people out there all ready to undercut you in price, features and support and you'll have no meaningful way to distinguish yourself.

THIS

I find it odd that you can set up your own webserver but you can't set up a website like wordpress... How do you know that the webserver is working if you aren't testing it with some basic website? or did you order some cheap shared hosting plan?

i can setup up wordpress.... infact i have it setup on a local computer now i was talking about codeing a website from scratch...

ok, from scratch is completely different.

What server side languages do you know?
Are you any good at designing (photoshop)?
If no to both of these, then a CMS is really the only option, unless you want to spend a few years getting the site going.

Wordpress, Jooma, Drupal, etc.
There are some good sites for themes as well.
My favorite is http://themeforest.net

Are you planning to sell hosting plans?
If so, you will need to hire someone to code the backend and billing system.

yea im good with photoshop, not so much the coding though.

im looking to see if whcs would work for me and possibly cpanel

unless someone could code it for less

do you mean whmcs? that should be good for your billing and user account, it's actually a good option
it means that your main site could even be static html if you wanted it to be, then have the users login to whmcs.

if you are doing shared hosting, then cpanel/whm is a must in my opinion.
whmcs can integrate with cpanel
and whmcs is extremely cheap, only $325 for a one time no branding license

SPAs are very complex to develop. If you cannot write even simple HTML, there is no possibility that you will be able to develop an SPA.
