Website Reviews: Why Such a Difference

Our perception for products is mostly driven by reviews from authentic websites but lately i have been unable to understand why there is such a huge leap among the reviews for the same product. For example consider these 2 reviews from very authentic sites FrostyTech and TechPowerUp for the same product Zalman CNPS9900 LED.

FrostyTech has almost turned it down (well not atleast but atleast you can see that the product is way below down even on the high FAN settings whereas TechPowerUp is going crazy over it. Lets assume even if there are difference in opinions based on their test environmental setup, there should be some momentum towards a rational linear curve, i mean when you compare the reviewed product against the competition, there shouldnt be a difference between the performance of day and night.

Am i missing something here and i am sure there is a little chance of either one getting biased because i saw a similar collusion over Silent Knight 2 between Frosty Tech and HardOCP.
 
The beauty of independent reviews of complex systems :)
Check more reviews to decide if one of them has a point to make that others missed or if they have sorely got it wrong.
 
My reliance mostly is on FrostyTech because of their sole expertise in reviewing Cooling solutions, but reviewing the same product on other website has started making me feel a little hesitant. My Question primarily is that if you place the unforseen chance of the website for being biased on certain manufacturer or a specific product then what could be other possible reason where such outlines can be drawn.

For example Sunbeamtech Core Contact Freezer holds the 1st position at FrostyTech since the product came in for review, but on other sites this product is just being consider as an average product. I could be wrong but there is a leaps and bounds of difference among site reviewer.
 
i usually check 3 or 4 review sites before i ever decide on buying stuff.. usually avg out all the reviews on that product and decide what i should actually buy.. usually theres 1 really good review.. a few in the middle and then a really horrible review all on a single product.. and i usually throw out the best and worst and compare the 2 middle ones.. best and worst are usually biased reviews to begin with especially if 2-3 other sites are saying the complete opposite..
 
I only buy when product receive more than ten 5/5 reviews on website i'm buying from. It was a bit different with my UD5 because [H] gave it a good score. I didn't try this board yet, unfortanately i can afford only one expensive part a month, i mean i have to get trough very tight month in order to afford an expensive part. Next one will be DDR3 1600 2GB (still considering good memories, i want to OC this baby to 3.6 so going cheap on memories isn't a good thing to do) then i7 920.
